Did you know……… hand washing is THE most effective way to

avoid colds/the flu?

Did you know……… beginning January 1, 2006, all children under age 16 will be required to wear an approved helmet while riding a bike on any public way?

Did you know……… the state of New Hampshire is 190 miles long and 70 miles wide at the midpoint, AND by ‘clicking’ onto www.WalkNH.org you and your family can participate in ‘WALK New Hampshire’? This is a program that individuals, families and/or groups can do to increase activity and stay healthy.

Did you know……… breakfast is the most important meal of the day, and that your child has TWO opportunities to receive breakfast at Emerson? A breakfast meal is prepared before school and can be purchased. A ‘snack bag’ can be ordered for purchase in the morning to be brought to class.

Did you know……… immunizations must be reviewed and up to date for entrance to grade 7? Please check if your child has had two doses of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), a current Tetanus immunization, and either has had Chicken Pox OR the Vaccine.
