MRSD has a program for students with limited English. Each student's level of English is assessed and he or she is placed in appropriate course work. The goal of the program is to help the English Language Learners to learn enough English to function linguistically and culturally in the MRSD and in the mainstream of American society.
Our Program uses New Hampshire English Language Proficiency Standards
New Hampshire is a member of the WIDA Consortium. In 2004, the New Hampshire State Board of Education adopted the WIDA English language proficiency standards. The WIDA standards provide educators of ELLs (English Language Learners) with a curriculum and assessment planning tool for content area objectives.
