Students are encouraged to cook at home to improve on the skills learned in class.  There is an "At Home Cooking Assignment" Rubric available to earn extra credit for cooking at home.  See the link "At Home Cooking Assignment" link on the home page.  Just fill in the rubric completely and bring in a small sample of what was made for extra credit.
