Meeting called to order 7:00pm

Motion to approve minutes J. Kenyon – 2nd K. Cota - Passed

Public Comments:

Mr. Bauries was speaking on behalf of the Monadnock School Taxpayers Assoc. He stated that the MSTA would support a building plan, although they will not be held hostage to NEASC.

He’s talked to people (principals, assist. Principals, and guidance people – all unnamed and the districts also unnamed) He claims to have documents – no copies given out – He threatened that the FC shouldn’t be blind sided by NEASC saying that they are nothing more than a “bitch” session. He also discussed his view of Warrant law again.

Neil Moriarty – Didn’t know why we were delaying the gym floor.  Wanted to know about the policy regarding staff doing work without permission of FC knowledge, and mentioned that the playground delay was due to poor planning.  

 

NEASC – Jon Kenyon pointed out page and paragraph all facility. related issue in the big report.

Colline Dreyfuss to give report to the Chair in reference to this topic.

 

Jon recommended that we prioritize Health and Safety issues first/Curriculum second/ and OSHA –ADA items last. 

Thought being we will likely hit all ADA and OSHA items (or most anyway) when dealing with the other two topics.

 

Discussion/update Beliveau – Bruce and Brett

Bret HSMS – fence around transformer. He received on bid will get 2 more.

Gym HVAC – Stromgren is coming with a lift and they ill take pictures & give an estimate.  Brett will get 2 more bids.

Warrant Roofing Project – In order to work out a plan of getting all bids bidding on the same projects they need a spec, he is looking to Kaestle Boos for that.

Bruce asked about performance bonds for big projects like roofs.  He explained to the group what they were and recommended it.  Committee agreed.

Servo Pro are completing the duct cleaning this week.

Stage floor – Monadnock flooring suggested sanding and staining/painting floor.  Will get 2 more bids first bid in at $8400

Smoke Vent in Auditorium – still waiting for design from WV

Troy fire doors/egresses/carpeting/windows – in the que

Wilcox tree limbing getting 3 quotes

Cutler office carpet tile have spec getting bids

Emerson & Gilsum MPR floor – remove current replace with tile.

 

Committee reviewed old lists.

 

Mike discussed ongoing work.

Emerson fixing columns in front and office heating

Upgrade playground under layment in Sullivan, Troy and Cutler.

Repair temp. valve or boiler at Mt C.

Track shimming at HSMS started.

 

 

Bob Smith came to talk about the playgroup volunteer group at Mt. C.

There were no ordinance concerning septic and playgrounds in Swanzey. Little Tike rep will shirk the design to fit available area. Playground footprint moving 15 ft. toward Eaton Rd.

Bob said he didn’t need a building permit as per Jim Weston Swanzey Town Hall – Bob didn’t have it in writing. Committee asked Brett to follow up.  Comm. Asked Bob for the new site plan from Little tikes ASAP.

 

New Business – Larry Trim wants to discuss FMP with the Budget Comm.  The Comm. will set the July 24th meeting aside for just this topic.
