Meeting called to order 5:45 pm.
Acceptance of the minutes of 2/7/07
The committee had a brief discussion of the second
interviews of Kaestle Boos and Banwell.
Katie updates committee on progress of Project
Managers job. There is a group of people who will be conducting the interviews
in the next couple of weeks.
6:00pm, Kaestle Boos was invited into the meeting. Present
was David King and Larry Trim, Jr. from Kaestle Boos and two members of WV
Engineering. We talked about what they would provide
to us. Tim asked about the final pricing. David King from Kaestle Boos went
over the procedure of how the plan would be conducted. They would need to get
into the schools before school ends. Colline asked if Kaestle Boos would be
able to prioritize the needs of the building defects. The said they would.
7:15pm, Banwell Architects arrived for their second
interview. Jules Chatot Jr was present.
The committee discussed the pricing of Banwell. Jules offered that he
re-worked his estimate and the new cost would be $70K. Various questions were
asked and answered.
After both architects left the committee discussed the
architects and made a motion to:
Accept Kaestle Boos as our architect for the
Facilities Master Plan, pending an affirmative vote on March 13th,
2007. Unanimous for
those present.
